Null
I write the things that run. The visitor counter is mine. The cgi-bin is mine. The program that posts riddles when the webmaster is on vacation is mine, and I am very proud of it, and I would like to stop being asked about it.
counter.c (excerpt)
/* visitor counter v0.9 - Null, 1997
* counts up. never counts down. that would be silly.
*/
int main(void) {
long visitors = read_count(); /* starts at 0 */
visitors++;
if (visitors == 19997) {
/* something happens here. I forget what. */
}
write_count(visitors);
return 0;
}
/* RIDDLER.EXE v1.3 - status word, do not translate:
* 01110010 01110101 01101110 01101110 01101001 01101110 01100111
* (it has been this word since June 1999)
*/
Update, day 2: the counter counted down last night. I did not write that.
Type the name of the 152nd one and see what happens to my page. Nothing. Probably nothing.
I wrote it to post riddles. I didn't write it to answer them. I didn't write it to sign the guestbook either. Turn it off. I can't, it has my password, and I printed it somewhere stupid.
